ANKARA (AA) - A minute of silence will be observed out of respect for the victims of Monday's earthquakes in Türkiye, the Royal Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) announced.
"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria," KNVB wrote, "At all matches tonight in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and this week's TOTO KNVB Cup, a minute's silence will be held out of respect for the victims."
Early in the morning, a magnitude 7.7 quake hit southern Kahramanmaras province, then, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck the province in the afternoon, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The disasters have left at least 2,316 people death and 13,293 others injured, according to the AFAD.
