JERUSALEM (AA) – One person was killed and seven others were injured in an anti-tank missile attack in northern Israel from southern Lebanon on Monday, according to the country’s national ambulance service.
Two of the injured were in serious condition, Magen David Adom said in a statement.
Israeli Army Radio said the anti-tank missile struck an orchard in Galilee in northern Israel.
The Israeli public broadcaster KAN said the dead person and the injured were all foreign laborers, apparently from Thailand.
Tension flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
The border tension comes amid an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed over 30,534 people following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7 last year.
