ANKARA (AA) - French Ligue 1 club Montpellier on Friday announced the contract extension of 42-year-old Brazilian defender Vitorino Hilton for another year.
Upon the announcement, Hilton, the captain of Montpellier, said on the club’s website it was his dream to play until 40 and now he has an opportunity to still be playing at 43.
Making 321 appearances for Montpellier, Hilton produced 11 goals and six assists since joining the club at the age of 33.
Throughout his career, he played for several French clubs – including Bastia, Lens, and Olympique Marseille – and Swiss club Servette FC.
