ANKARA (AA) - Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal moves to French Open final on Friday after Alexander Zverev was forced to quit game due to ankle injury.
Zverev from Germany suffered a serious injury in second set tiebreak at 7-6, 6-6, and had to retire as Nadal reached his 14th French Open final over three hours into the game.
World No. 3 Zverev returned to the court on crutches and waved to the fans before leaving in tears in a wheelchair.
Nadal, a 13-time Roland-Garros champion, will face either Casper Ruud of Norway or Marin Cilic from Croatia in Sunday’s final.
