ISTANBUL (AA) - The Los Angeles Lakers will re-sign Anthony Davis to a five-year, $190 million maximum deal, an NBA insider said Thursday.
"The deal includes an early termination option prior to the fifth season in 2024-2025. The deal could be signed as soon as today," Adrian Wojnarowski wrote on the ESPN website.
"Davis, a free agent, is expected to sign the contract as soon as Thursday. He considered several short and long-term contract scenarios before accepting a full five-year, maximum offer," he added.
The 27-year-old power forward was selected to the Western Conference All-Star team for the seventh time last season and averaged 24 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 528 games during his career.
Davis helped the Lakers win the 2020 NBA title.
