ANKARA (AA) - Some 8,278 companies were formed in Turkey last month, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) announced on Friday.
The number of newly established companies fell 13.2 percent year-on-year in January, according to the organization.
The figures showed that 1,927 companies went out of business in January, a drop of 13 percent compared to the same month last year.
A total of 1,213 foreign-partnered or foreign-funded new companies launched in the month.
