ISTANBUL (AA) - Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans on Saturday announced that the Netherlands is delivering 28 Viking tracked vehicles to Ukraine as part of its ongoing support against Russian “aggression."
“Ukraine desperately needs our help in the fight against the Russian aggressor. Our support to Ukraine continues in order to keep Russia at bay,” Brekelmans said on X.
He added that the Dutch Marine Corps has trained Ukrainian forces to operate these vehicles.
On Thursday, in an interview with Dutch public broadcaster NOS, Brekelmans said the laws of war allow Ukraine to target military sites in Russia if attacked. “If a missile is launched from Russia, you can intercept it with an F-16 (provided by the Netherlands) over Russia,” he added.
Brekelmans stressed that Ukraine must avoid targeting civilians, adhering to international law.
