ISTANBUL (AA) - New home sales in the US jumped 12.3% in September from the previous month, according to a report released Wednesday by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Sales of new single‐family homes were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 759,000, it said.
New home sales, which show the number of new single-family homes sold, were estimated to come in at 680,000 last month. The figure for August, meanwhile, was revised slightly upward from 675,000 to 676,000.
On an annual basis, new home sales in September were 33.9% above the same month of last year, when the figure stood at 567,000.
In September, the median sale price of new houses sold was $418,800, while the average price was $503,900, according to the report.
