ISTANBUL (AA) - New home sales in the US rose 2.3% in December 2022, according to a report by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development on Thursday.
Sales of new single‐family homes in December were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 616,000.
New home sales, which show the number of new single-family homes sold, were estimated to come in at 617,000 last month.
The figure for November 2022 was revised down to 602,000, from 640,000.
New home sales in December, however, are 26.6% below the same month of 2021, when they stood at 839,000.
The median sales price of new houses sold in December was $442,100, while the average sales price stood at $528,400.
