ANKARA (AA) - Damar Hamlin, a National Football League (NFL) player in the US, was treated in intensive care after a cardiac arrest during a game and has showed "signs of improvement" on Wednesday.
"Damar remains in the ICU in critical condition with signs of improvement noted yesterday and overnight," his team Buffalo Bills said on Twitter. "He is expected to remain under intensive care as his health care team continues to monitor and treat him."
After a tackle, Hamlin, 24, collapsed during a Monday NFL game between Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals to be in a "critical condition."
He was administered CPR on the field before being rushed to a hospital. The game was postponed.
On Tuesday, NFL franchises and the league organizers called on everyone to "pray for Damar."
US national Hamlin has been playing for the Bills since 2021.
