LAGOS, Nigeria (AA) - Boko Haram said Wednesday they have killed five aid workers in Nigeria's volatile Borno State.
In a video released by the group, the men who were kidnapped in June knelt down with assault rifles pointed at them at an unknown location.
The gunmen subsequently shot them execution-style.
The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Coordination in Nigeria and government are yet to issue a statement.
The incident was the second in a year coming after the murder of four other aid workers in December 2019. The latest incident came as Boko Haram's bloody insurgency in the African nation enters its eleventh year.
