North Korea said on Saturday it discovered the remains of a South Korean drone that violated its airspace, state news agency KCNA reported.
A spokesperson of the Defense Ministry said specialized institutions forensically examined the remains of the drone and it was scientifically proved that the drone came from South Korea.
Through the technical examination and analysis, the experts concluded that the drone was a "light one for long-range reconnaissance" equipped with by the Drone Operation Command of the ROK (Republic of Korea) military, the ministry said.
Pyongyang warned that if any further violation is committed by South Korea military, it will be declaration of war and an immediate retaliatory attack will be launched.
North Korea had earlier accused the South Korean military of multiple drone incursions over its capital on three occasions earlier this month.
