Norway's parliament receives bomb threat: Officials

Police have 'no information that there is a danger to third parties,' following bomb threat received on social media

LONDON (AA) - The Norwegian parliament on Wednesday received a bomb threat, and security around the Storting has been increased, according to media reports on Wednesday, citing official sources.

Police said officers were at the scene with high-security measures after the Norwegian parliament Storting received a bomb threat, the Norwegian daily VG reported.

Gabriel Langfeldt from the police department said they have "no information that there is a danger to third parties," while there is also "no information anyone has been injured."

According to Pal Munck, the head of the Storting's security department, the threat has been received via social media.

The police received the report regarding the threat at 9.48 a.m. local time (0748GMT), said the VG.
