ISTANBUL (AA) – US-based artificial intelligence (AI) firm OpenAI’s ChatGPT, generative chatbot, boasts 2.3 billion visits in terms of website traffic, according to a World Bank Group report.
The report, Who on Earth Is Using Generative AI, shows the most visited websites of 40 AI tools in March, making up approximately 3 billion visits across. The highest-ranking tool is ChatGPT, accounting for 82.5% of all AI tool website traffic.
Following ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini ranks second with 133 million website visits in March. Google’s own AI tool was launched in 2023 as Bard but later renamed to Gemini.
Chatbots dominate the rest of the list, especially as they make up the first seven positions, and the last three are taken by image-generative AI tools.
As for the rest of the top 10, Poe ranks third with 43.4 million visits, followed by Perplexity with 40.2 million, Claude with 32.3 million, and DeepAI with 31.1 million.
The first image-generative AI tool with the highest number of visits is Midjourney with 24.7 million website traffic in March, followed by Prezi with 18 million, and Nightcafe with 13.9 million visits.
Except for the image-generative AI tool Nightcafe, which is based in Australia, the top 10 AI tools are based in the US, the report shows.
