GAZA, Palestine (AA) - More than 30 Palestinians were killed early Wednesday in artillery, air and sea bombardments throughout the Gaza Strip, according to medical and local sources.
The sources told the Palestinian news agency Wafa that residents were killed after several homes were targeted in the northern Gaza Strip and at least two others were killed in a bombing that targeted a bakery in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The sources indicated that the bakery provides bread to the people of the camp and to the displaced from the northern areas of the Gaza Strip.
They added that three people were killed, including a child, in a bombing that targeted a residential apartment in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The intense artillery, air and sea bombardments targeted northern Gaza, specifically the Jabalia area as well as the Nuseirat camp, the Yarmouk neighborhood in central Gaza City and an area in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood close to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, which was bombed by Israel, causing hundreds of deaths and injuries.
The bombings also targeted civilians’ homes in areas of the southern Gaza Strip, Rafah and Khan Yunis, causing several casualties.
