RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - A Palestinian teenager was killed by Israeli forces during a raid in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, Palestine’s official news agency WAFA reported.
Israeli soldiers carried out the raid at an art school in the town of Halhul, north of the city of Hebron, and demanded that several workers from the Gaza Strip vacate the area.
Seventeen-year-old Muhammed Nidal Milhim, one of the three individuals injured by live ammunition during tensions with the soldiers, succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
Israeli soldiers also caused damage to the school premises during the attempt, and detained 30 workers present at the scene.
They also conducted raids in various neighborhoods of Hebron, and detained another 17 Palestinians.
As Israel continues its air attacks on the Gaza Strip, which began after the Oct. 7 surprise attack by Hamas, Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have reported an increase of attacks by Jewish settlers and soldiers. Since then, at least 60 Palestinians have been killed and many others wounded.
