ISTANBUL (AA) - Paris Saint-Germain terminated the contract of the head coach Mauricio Pochettino after 18 months in charge, the Ligue 1 club announced on Tuesday.
"Paris Saint-Germain confirm that Mauricio Pochettino has ended his role at the club," PSG said in a statement.
"The Argentine coach and his team joined the club in January 2021. A former captain of the Rouge & Bleus, Pochettino took charge of 84 competitive games," it added.
Pochettino began his managerial career at Espanyol in 2009 before taking charge of Southampton.
He was named the manager of Tottenham Hotspur in 2014, leading the English Premier League club to reach the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.
The 50-year-old Argentine helped the Parisians win a French Ligue 1 title, a French Super Cup, and a French Cup.
The Ligue 1 side thanked Pochettino and his staff for their work and wished them the best for the future.
