ANKARA (AA) - Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office on Friday filed an indictment over the incidents at Turkey's 4th Akinci Main Jet Base during the defeated coup initiated by Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) in July 2016.
Akinci -- which was renamed Murted after the attempted coup -- located outside Turkey's capital Ankara, was used as a base by some pro-coup soldiers, and some of the jets which took off from the base that night bombed several places in the capital, including the parliament building. Loyal Turkish military officers were also held hostage at the base.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim comes on air on NTV channel to say "some people in the military have taken an illegal action outside the chain of command."
He went on to say: "The government, which has been elected by the people, remains in charge. Those who are attempting this will pay the heaviest price."

Chief of General Staff Hulusi Akar, who opposed the coup and strongly rejected the offer to lead the putsch is taken out of the Turkish General Staff through the 1-A door by three pro-coup soldiers from the Special Forces Command along with Mehmet Disli, Firat Alakus, Abdullah Erdogan, Onur Ozdemir, Mehmet Aytas and Halit Kazanci.
Akar, accompanied by Mehmet Disli and four members of the Special Forces Command, get on a helicopter piloted by Halil Gul and are flown to the Akinci Airbase.

Coup plotter Mehmet Partigoc calls Ismail Keskin, adjutant of Akin Ozturk.
Partigoc tells Ozturk to go to Akinci Airbase, where he said the interned commanders would be brought and the coup attempt would be followed.

Suspects Mustafa Azimetli and Ekrem Aydogdu flying F-16s use laser-guided system to target the Turkish National Police Aviation Department.
Suspect Ertan Koral accompanied by Mehmet Cetin Kaplan drops a GBU-10 bomb, which martyrs seven people and wounds five others. Financial loss is 40 million Turkish liras ($11 million).

A military cargo aircraft takes off from Kayseri province to bring 250 soldiers from the Cardak Airport in Denizli province to the capital Ankara.
The Aircraft lands at Malatya Erhac Airport after it is not granted permission at Cardak Airport following directives from the Eskisehir Combined Air Operations Centre.

Deputy chief of Turkish General Staff Yasar Guler is forced by coup soldiers, including Cemil Turhan and two other members of the Special Forces Command to get on a helicopter; with his hands and arms tied, Guler is taken to the Akinci Airbase.

1- Air Force Operations Centre has given illegal instructions.
2 - None of the instructions of Air Force Operations Centre should be obeyed.
3 - Commander of the Turkish Air Forces Org. Abidin Unal will continue to give written orders to the air force through Eskisehir Combined Air Operations Centre.
4 - No aircraft can take off without the order of the commander of the Turkish Air Forces.
5 - Legal action will be taken against those who disobey the orders.

Brig. Gen. Kemal Mutlum, who directed the coup attempt from the Air Forces Operation Center and Col. Veysel Kavak, who operated the coup attempt from the headquarters of Air Forces Command, speak to each other by a recordable telephone. "Col. Ismail Uner took control of Eskisehir BHHM, and things are not going the way we want, nothing left in our hands except Akinci base," it was said in the conversation.
Mutlum asked: "Is there anything else anywhere?" Kavak answered: "There is no other change, we are going for the thing, my commander,"
Later, it came to be known that "the thing" they were referring to was about bombing targets.

A tower officer at Cardak Airport in Denizli calls Col. Ismail Uner, who was in Eskisehir, and informs him that 11th Brigade Commanders personnel can be seen heading towards the airfield, planning to leave in transport planes coming from Kayseri.
Uner orders officers to block their path so that no airplane could land or take off; instruction is given to turn off lights at the airport and to leave the tower.
