ANKARA (AA) – Strong tremors were felt in parts of north India after an earthquake of 6.4 magnitude hit neighboring Nepal late Friday night.
According to India’s National Center for Seismology, an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred at local time 11.32 p.m. at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles) with an epicenter in Nepal.
As the tremors were felt in the Indian capital New Delhi and other northern parts of India, people were seen coming out of homes in panic.
There is no report of any damage due to the earthquake so far.
Last month, at least 12 people were injured after two powerful earthquakes jolted Nepal.
