ANKARA (AA) - Starting from Feb 1, passengers taking flights to Germany will be required to wear FFP2, KN95, N95 or surgical masks, Turkish Airlines announced on Thursday.
The decision was taken in line with rules of German authorities, Turkey's flag carrier wrote on Twitter.
Last week, German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s coalition government decided to extend its strict lockdown until Feb. 14, as a precautionary measure to contain more contagious coronavirus mutations.
Germany currently has the fifth-highest tally of coronavirus infections in Western Europe, behind the UK, France, Spain and Italy.
