TAL ABYAD, Syria (AA) – Members of the PKK/YPG terrorist group killed a civilian in Syria's Deir ez-Zor province Sunday, according to local sources.

The victim, identified by his initials A.H.D., was abducted from the terrorist-occupied village of Direnc earlier Sunday, sources said on condition of anonymity.

A.H.D. was taken to an unknown location before being shot and killed. The PKK/YPG terrorists later dropped the body on the outskirts of the village where he was kidnapped from.

The victim reportedly had deep cuts and marks of torture on different parts of his body.

After the news of the killing broke, locals blocked the roads to protest against the PKK/YPG terrorists.

In its nearly 40-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU – has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The YPG is PKK’s Syrian offshoot.
