ATHENS (AA) - Poland detained a person on suspicion of spying for Russia, the Polish interior minister said on Monday.
“The suspect was conducting surveillance of military facilities and seaports. He was systematically rewarded by the Russians,” Mariusz Kaminski said.
“This is the 15th person detained in this investigation,” he added.
The state-run PAP news agency said that the suspect is a Ukrainian citizen.
In March, Poland said that it dismantled a Russian spy network and detained nine people, who it said had been preparing acts of sabotage, conducting anti-Polish propaganda and monitoring rail routes to Ukraine.
In late June, ABW arrested a professional Russian ice-hockey player on suspicion of espionage.
