ANKARA (AA) - Poland beat Croatia 3-1 in the opening match Friday of the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.
Poland won the match 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-15) in Arnhem, Netherlands.
Olivia Rozanski rallied her team with 16 points while teammates Magdalena Stysiak and Agnieszka Korneluk added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Lucija Mlinar and Stysiak Magdalena's had 16 and 15 points, respectively, but those efforts fell short for Croatia.
In the other game, the Netherlands defeated Kenya inn striaght sets (25-11, 25-17, 25-11) in a Pool A match.
Türkiye will take on Thailand in Pool B on Saturday.
