TRENTON, Canada (AA) – Police in Canada said a suspect involved in "multiple shooting scenes" in British Columbia on Monday is "no longer a threat."
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Langley sent out an emergency alert on Monday morning, warning of shootings in the city of about 26,000 people.
Langley is located about an hour southeast of Vancouver.
The police said the suspect "is no longer a threat" after they "interacted" with a man with dark hair and wearing overalls and a camouflage shirt. He was also associated with a white car.
Although the danger passed, the public should continue to exert caution, the police said in a second alert.
"Efforts still being made to confirm only one suspect is involved. Please remain alert and out of the area," read the alert.
No injuries have been reported by the police.
