BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Thursday reaffirmed his country’s strong support for the EU membership of Serbia.
"Poland will soon take over the presidency of the EU, and during Poland's presidency, expansion and the closest possible cooperation with Serbia will be my priority," Tusk said after a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.
"Enlargement of the European Union must include Serbia, because without Serbia, the EU is not complete," he said.
Vucic, for his part, said that Tusk and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis who is also in Belgrade for a visit, have conveyed important messages about EU membership and Serbia's progress.
