ANKARA (AA) – Crystal Palace will host Arsenal for the opening game of the 2022-23 English Premier League season on Aug. 5.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham the next day, while Chelsea’s season kicks off with an away game against club icon Frank Lampard’s Everton side, according to the list of fixtures released by the Premier League on Thursday.
The Manchester duo will round off the opening weekend as champions Manchester City face West Ham United away on Sunday and Erik ten Hag begins his Manchester United tenure with a home game against Brighton.
United and Liverpool are set to resume one of the greatest rivalries of English football at Old Trafford on Aug. 20.
October will start with City hosting the first Manchester derby of the season, while Arsenal will welcome Tottenham Hotspur for the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium the same day.
The top two teams of last year – City and Liverpool – will face off at Anfield on Oct. 15.
Another London rivalry will play out on Nov. 5 when Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
This Premier League season will have a 44-day break from Nov. 12 to Dec. 26 for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 38-game season will end on May 28, 2023.
