WASHINGTON (AA) - Pro-Palestine demonstrators briefly disrupted the traditional Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City by entering the walkway and staging a demonstration in support of Palestine.
Demonstrators wore white jumpsuits spattered with red paint to symbolize the civilian casualties in Israel's attacks on Gaza, while some apparently glued themselves to Sixth Avenue.
Words like "colonialism" and "consumerism" were written across their clothes.
Several demonstrators were arrested following a confrontation with the police, who intervened in the protest.
Anadolu captured the moment when police detained the demonstrators. In the video, two of those detained were seen continuing to chant slogans while being taken away by officers.
