STOCKHOLM (AA) - Pro-Palestinian activists demonstrated against Israel during the Nobel banquet on Tuesday.
They chanted, “Stop the genocide in Gaza,” in Swedish and English in front of the Stockholm City Hall where the banquet was hosted by King Gustav XVI of Sweden.
The activists protested the US and Sweden for their support of Israel as they noted that Nobel awards are financed by the US.
They also carried Palestinian flags and banners that read: "Stop terror against Palestinians, stop arming Israel", "Stop the genocide in Gaza", "End the occupation" and "Nobel award ceremony cannot be held as children are being killed."
The protesters demanded an immediate end to the genocide in the Gaza Strip and Israeli attacks against Lebanon.
