ANKARA (AA) - A thigh injury forced Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Kylian Mbappe to be sidelined for three weeks, the French powerhouse confirmed Thursday.
"After undergoing tests, Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps," PSG said in a statement.
The 24-year-old French forward was injured and had to leave the pitch during a French Ligue 1 match Wednesday against Montpellier that PSG won 3-1.
He is going to miss several league matches, a French Cup match at Olympique Marseille and the UEFA Champions League last 16 first leg against Bayern Munich on Feb. 14 at Parc des Princes, Paris.
Mbappe has scored 25 goals with six assists in 26 matches for PSG this season.
