DOHA (AA) - Qatari Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser al-Thani on Monday met with Somali Internal Security Minister Mohamed Abukar Islow in Doha to discuss means of bolstering security cooperation between the two countries and fighting terrorism, Qatar’s official QNA news agency reported.

According to QNA, the two dignitaries discussed means of stepping up bilateral security cooperation, especially in the field of counterterrorism, along with regional and international issues of common concern.

On Oct. 14, Mogadishu was rocked by the worst attack in the city’s history, which left more than 300 dead and hundreds more injured.

In the immediate wake of the attack, Qatar sent aircraft laden with emergency workers and humanitarian aid to Somalia’s terror-hit capital.
