The French Ligue 1 announced Thursday that Qatar will host the Trophee des Champions (French Super Cup) final.
The final between Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and French Cup winners Monaco is to be played on January 5, 2025 at Doha's 974 Stadium as the Ligue 1 signed a title partnership with the "Visit Qatar," the national organization responsible for developing and promoting tourism in Qatar.
PSG, most successful club of the competition, defeated Toulouse 2-0 in the French Super Cup match played at Parc des Princes Stadium last season to clinch the trophy for the 12th time.
Monaco have lifted the French Super Cup four times before.
On the other hand, the Ligue 1 match between the two sides, which was scheduled to be played on the same date, was moved to December 18.
