RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AA) - Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani left Saudi Arabia after attending the 41st Gulf Cooperation Council summit, the Qatari Royal Court said on Tuesday.
It said that Sheikh Tamim thanked Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the warm welcome and hospitality he and his delegation received at the summit.
Positive results of the meeting "will consolidate solidarity in facing regional challenges," he said.
The summit saw reconciliation between Gulf states as Saudi Arabia agreed to reopen its borders to Qatar.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and the UAE had severed all ties with Qatar in 2017.
