ISTANBUL (AA) - RB Leipzig on Thursday announced they have appointed Marco Rose as their new manager on a two-year contract until June 2024.
The 45-year-old replaces Domenico Tedesco, who departed the club on Wednesday.
Rose earlier managed Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, and Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga club said Alexander Zickler, Frank Geideck and Marco Kurth will be Rose’s assistants.
The rest of his coaching team has goalkeeper coach Frederik Gobling, and fitness coaches Ruwen Faller, Kai Kraft and Daniel Behlau.
The German side parted ways with Italy's Tedesco following a 4-1 home loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League.
The 36-year-old led them to win the German Cup, their first major trophy.
RB Leipzig are ranked 5th with 11 points in the Bundesliga standings.
