ISTANBUL (AA) - Spanish giants Real Madrid will sign Porto's young defender Eder Militao in the summer for the following six seasons, until June 30, 2025.
"Real Madrid and Porto have agreed the transfer of the player Eder Militao," the Spanish club announced on Thursday.
The 21-year-old Brazilian scored 3 goals in 34 matches for Porto.
It is Real Madrid's first signing since Zinedine Zidane's return as manager.
Following a tough exit from the Champions League, Spanish football giants Real Madrid announced Monday the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as manager until June 30, 2022.
The 46-year-old Frenchman replaced Argentinian Santiago Solari, who was sacked after five months in charge at the club.
The replacement came after a 4-1 loss to Ajax in round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League on March 5.
In La Liga, Real Madrid are currently in third place, 12 points behind the leaders Barcelona.
