BUDAPEST, Hungary (AA) - Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Tuesday his country would not welcome refugees in Europe.
Orban said refugees in Europe should not be distributed within European Union member states but instead they should be moved "out of Europe".
Hungarians d0 not want to accept a single refugee even on a temporary basis, he said, adding that his country was helping Christian communities in troubled areas.
Hungary has reinforced its borders with soldiers and police with the support of the Visegrad Group partners -- Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia -- as part of its anti-refugee measures.
In 2015, Hungary installed razor wires on its Serbian and Croatian borders to stop the flow of refugees.
Additionally, it enhanced penalties for illegal crossings by announcing a state of emergency in border areas.
