ISTANBUL (AA) - Al Di Meola, renowned in the music world for blending jazz and world music, will perform at the Volkswagen Arena on Sept. 26.
The American guitar virtuoso will present a repertoire different from his usual format as part of his "Electric Years" tour.
The master guitarist will perform selections from his beloved first three albums "Land of the Midnight Sun," "Casino" and "Elegant Gypsy" with his Les Paul guitar.
Starting his career in 1974, the artist was awarded a Grammy in 1975. Throughout his career, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including two platinum albums, more than 6 million record sales worldwide, five gold albums in Germany, an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music and an honorary Miles Davis award from the Montreal Jazz Festival.
