BAGHDAD (AA) – A roadside bomb targeted a convoy carrying logistics for the US-led coalition against the Daesh/ISIS terror group on Sunday near Iraq’s southern Jirishan terminal with Kuwait, according to an Iraqi police officer.
The explosion caused minor damage to a vehicle in the convoy, the officer said. No injuries were reported.
There was no comment from either the Iraqi authorities or the US-led coalition on the attack, for which no group has yet claimed responsibility.
In the past weeks, the frequency of attacks targeting US forces and interests occurs almost daily.
Washington accuses Iran-backed Iraqi groups of being behind the attacks against the US-led coalition forces in Iraq, an accusation denied by Tehran.
