BAGHDAD (AA) - A military air base housing US soldiers was targeted in a rocket attack in Iraq's northern Salah al-Din province late Monday, a police officer said.
"Unidentified individuals fired five missiles at Balad Air Base in the province," a police officer told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity as he is not authorized to speak to media outlets.
"Two rockets landed in an empty area inside the [compound of the] base, while three rockets fell in the vicinity of the base," he said, adding that no casualties have been reported so far.
