ANKARA (AA) - Roe deer, the smallest deer species in Anatolia and a species under official protection due to their critical numbers, are found in all of the Black Sea highlands and Marmara regions.
These deer live in mountainous or forested areas in certain parts of Türkiye’s Aegean, Mediterranean, central Anatolia, and southeastern Anatolia regions.
Roe deer can also be seen in the broad, dense forest borders and plateaus in the northern regions of the Black Sea.
