ANKARA (AA) - Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini on Saturday penned a multi-year contract with the Italian football club.
"Pellegrini, 25, has signed a near five-year extension with the club that runs until 30 June 2026," Roma said in a statement.
The Italian midfielder said he is extremely happy to prolong his stay at Roma.
"It’s impossible for me to explain this feeling, it’s what I’ve always wanted – to cement this bond between myself and my team and my city," noted Pellegrini, a Roma player since 2017.
Pellegrini piled up 161 appearances to score 25 goals for Roma.
He is a Roma product but then played for Sassuolo for a while before his return to his boyhood club in 2017.
Separately, Pellegrini plays for the Italian national team.
