CONSTANTA, Romania (AA) – Türkiye's vice president on Friday was received by Romania's president in the country’s Black Sea resort of Neptun.
During his official visit to Romania, Türkiye's Cevdet Yilmaz met with Klaus Iohannis in Neptun to discuss political, military, commercial, and economic ties, current and new cooperation opportunities, regional and global developments, Black Sea security, the defense industry, and Turkish-EU relations.
Yilmaz also visited the Omnia Starch Factory in the nearby city of Constanta, established in 2020 by the Tosmur Group, which employs primarily ethnic Turkish citizens.
He also visited a local mosque.
Romania has been an EU member since 2007, and Türkiye has been a candidate for EU membership since 1999.
