WASHINGTON (AA) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Friday with Botswana’s President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko in Washington to discuss the "close strategic partnership in trade and regional security,” according to the State Department.
Rubio congratulated Boko on the upcoming launch of Botswana’s first satellite, BOTSAT-1, which is supported by SpaceX, said a statement.
No further details were provided on agreements or initiatives discussed during the meeting.
