ANKARA (AA) - In response to mounting Western sanctions, Russia has banned exports of telecom, agricultural, medical, electrical and tech equipment until the end of 2022, an official statement said on Thursday.
More than 200 items have been included on the export suspension list which also covered railway cars and locomotives, containers, turbines, metal and stone processing machines, monitors, projectors, consoles and panels.
"The export of these goods is temporarily restricted to all foreign countries, with the exception of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Abkhazia and South Ossetia," the statement said.
The export of the products to the EAEU, Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be subject to a special authorization from the Russian authorities.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday signed a decree to restrict imports and exports of certain products and raw materials.
The Kremlin then directed the government to define the list of raw materials and products, as well as the list of countries to which the restrictions would apply.
