MOSCOW (AA) - The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Thursday news personal sanctions against 87 Canadian citizens.
"Entry to the Russian Federation is closed to 87 Canadian citizens. Among them are the heads of provinces and territories, the military, the heads of companies supplying the Kyiv neo–Nazi regime with dual-use weapons and technologies, and activists of the pro-Bandera structures," it said in a statement.
It added that the move was made "in response to anti-Russian sanctions, periodically introduced by the ruling Canadian regime of Justin Trudeau."
Russia closed the entry to 905 Canadian citizens to date, including Cabinet members, lawmakers, public figures, and businessmen.
