ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia on Sunday claimed that it had downed over 30 drones launched by Ukraine overnight over multiple regions of the country.
A Russian Defense Ministry statement said that the country’s air defenses had downed 28 drones over the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine.
The statement added that two drones were downed over both the Smolensk and Lipetsk regions.
It also claimed that one drone was shot down over the Tula region, whose administrative capital is located about 185 kilometers (115 miles) south of the capital Moscow.
Local authorities from the Bryansk, Smolensk, Lipetsk, and Tula regions did not report any casualties or damage from the attack.
Ukrainian authorities have yet to comment on Russia’s claims.
