ISTANBUL (AA) - An attempted Ukrainian drone attack in the Moscow region using three unmanned air vehicles was successfully foiled, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed Wednesday.
“Today, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack on objects in the Moscow region with three aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles was thwarted,” said the ministry.
The ministry added that through electronic warfare techniques, all the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were “neutralized,” leading to their loss of control and subsequent crashes.
“There are no casualties or damage as a result of the failed terrorist attack,” Moscow added.
Kyiv has yet to respond to Moscow’s claims.
In recent months, well into year two of the Ukraine war, Russia has reported attacks inside its territory as “terrorist” attacks by Ukraine, normally met with denials by Kyiv.
