ISTANBUL / MOSCOW (AA) - Russia said Thursday that three more people were detained in connection to a terror attack last month on a Moscow concert hall.
“In Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Omsk, a Russian citizen and two foreign citizens were detained - all immigrants from the Central Asian region, involved in the terrorist attack committed on March 22, 2024 in the Crocus City Hall complex,” the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB) told Russian media.
The FSB said two of the detainees were found to have transferred money to purchase firearms and vehicles used in the attack, based on an operational search that was conducted.
“The third was directly involved in recruiting accomplices of the terrorist attack and financing its perpetrators,” it said.
At least 144 people were killed and more than 550 injured when gunmen opened fire at the Crocus City Hall in the city of Krasnogorsk in the Moscow region.
Russia has charged four suspects with direct involvement in the attack and arrested seven others.
