MOSCOW (AA) – Russia on Tuesday sanctioned 15 British citizens in a tit-for-tat move, adding representatives of private UK security companies involved in Ukrainian military personnel training to the "blacklist."
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement that it sanctioned 15 British citizens "as part of the response to London's aggressive actions," and included representatives of British private security companies involved in the training of Ukrainian military personnel on the "blacklist."
Sanctions are also imposed on heads of military-industrial complex companies that supply products or services to Kyiv, as well as experts and publicists "speaking from anti-Russian positions on defense and special military operation issues" in the media.
"We would like to emphasize once again that all attempts by British Russophobes to create conditions for a 'strategic defeat' and international isolation of Russia are, by definition, doomed to fail. We urge London to soberly assess the situation and immediately change the vector in bilateral relations," it stressed.
According to the list, published on the ministry's website, sanctions have been imposed on representatives of Paradigm Security Solutions, BAE Systems, AMS Integrated Solutions, Pearson Engineering, an expert from the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and an observer from Daily Telegraph.
The sanctioned people are banned from entering Russian territory.
