MOSCOW (AA) – Russia on Wednesday blacklisted 23 more British citizens and top military officials, including Chief of Defense Staff Admiral Antony Radakin and Chair of the Joint Intelligence Committee Madeleine Alessandri, for pursuing anti-Russian policy and supporting the "neo-Nazi regime" in Ukraine.
According to a statement posted on the Foreign Ministry's website, among the top officials sanctioned is also Cressida Hogg, the chief executive officer of the BAE Systems arms producer.
Several researchers were also sanctioned because they were "involved in the collection and analysis of information for the fight against Russia."
The ministry said the sanctions are imposed in response to London's "anti-Russian course, in which the mechanism of personal sanctions is actively applied and comprehensive support is provided to the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv."
"We would like to emphasize once again that attempts by the British side to increase sanctions pressure on Russia will inevitably receive a decisive rebuff from our side. Work on expanding the Russian ‘stop list’ in response to London's hostile actions will continue," the ministry stressed.
