MOSCOW (AA) – At least one person was killed and three others injured in a “massive” drone attack on Russia’s Moscow region, its Governor Andrey Vorobyov said on Tuesday.

"A massive drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region began at 4 a.m. today. At the moment, it is known that one person was killed and three others were injured in the Leninsky urban district (Vidnoye) and Domodedovo (village of Yam)," Vorobyov said on Telegram.

Vorobyov added that drone debris fell on an apartment building in the town of Ramenskoye, destroying it partially.

"In total, more than 60 drones were shot down," he said.

In a separate statement, the Russian Defense Ministry said that 337 Ukrainian drones were either shot down or jammed across Russia’s territory last night, including 91 over Moscow and the nearby Moscow region.

The attack was the largest in 2025. On Feb. 26, Russia reported a Ukrainian attack with 140 drones, and on Jan. 24, Russian authorities said it intercepted and destroyed 121 Ukrainian drones.

According to the ministry, the latest attack affected 10 regions.
